Calella

A village next to Calella, which combines tradition and modernity. It is also a popular and prestigious destination for years. Llafranc Bay, its promenade, the port and the Cape of San Sebastián make this small town one of the most appreciated on the coast. La Sirena

Tamariu

The smallets of the brothers, this is the wildest village that is located in the north of the municipality of Palafrugell, between rocks and vegetation. Tamariu has a main beach with thick sand surrounded by two small coves. Its small promenade is full of life when restaurants specializing in rice, fish and seafood open their doors.

Castell beach

It is one of the last extensive beaches that is still virgin on the Costa Brava. Shaped like a crescent and surrounded by forest and fields, it has a mouth right in the middle. It offers a wide area for easy anchoring for boats of all lengths.

Cala Senià

Located in the middle of a steep stretch of coastline, it is an unspoilt enclave surrounded by pine-clad cliffs and crowned by a small palace in the Empordà style. It has about fifteen buoys to facilitate the anchoring of boats in the summer season.

Cala Estreta

It is a group of coves of coarse sand and modest width, hence its name (‘Narrow Cove’). In some sections the water invades the sand when the sea is rough. Its high scenic value, together with crystalline waters, make it one of the most emblematic corners of the Costa Brava. It has an old fishermen's refuge from the 16th century XVI. It takes a good walk to access it by land, which ensures a low influx of people even in the summer season. It is suitable for nudism.

It is an absolutely virgin space, with a coastal footpath of arrival that is not suitable for all people, that makes the predominant access by boat. The cove is made of rocks and pebbles rounded by the action of the storms. The numerous reefs that surround it give it a great richness of the seabed and it is undoubtedly an emblematic environment, although only within the reach of the most experienced

Illes Formigues

A set of small barren islands that can be seen on the horizon from Calella de Palafrugell, which owe their name to the fact that they are small and numerous, forming a silhouette similar to little ants. The year 1285 was the scene of one of the most spectacular naval confrontations of all those experienced on the Costa Brava. Surrounded by rocky outcrops and reefs, it is alive with sea life, but requires careful navigation so as not to collide with any of the submerged rocks that surround it.

Cala Pedrosa

Another virgin area where access is difficult on foot, making it a very quiet cove, even in the peak of summer. Located beneath the beautiful cliffs of Puig d'en Frares, it is a wonderful pebbled beach, hence its name (‘rocky cove’). It has a small hut where breakfasts and tapas are served.

Cala Pedrosa

Cala Marquesa

This is a totally virgin and charming space, formed by a set of coves surrounded by high granite walls. Just in front of the cove there is a small islet that protects the waters, creating an assortment of wonderful natural pools. Access by foot is not signposted and is not advisable, but it is perfect for visiting it by sea and it is an excellent place to anchor.

Cap de Begur

This is the easternmost point of the Begur massif, immersed in a natural area that is the extension of ‘Les Gavarres’ and formed by small hills that fall into the sea giving rise to spectacular cliffs. It is surrounded by coves with crystalline waters; from 'Aigua Blava', through 'Sa Tuna' and 'Aigua Freda' and until reaching 'Sa Riera'. All of them are extraordinarily beautiful, but are not particularly suitable for visiting when the Northern ‘Tramuntana’ wind blows, as they are all exposed to the North.
